Wedding Information

what you need to know
  • The Beginning

well, 5 years from the beginning...

Dale proposed to me on July 24th 2008 in Falmouth Massachusettes on Cape Cod. Although it wasn't a formal proposal, it was very romantic- involving a serious summer electrical storm and us waiting it out in the dark....

obviously I said yes and here we are.

  • The "Plan"

So--we set out to show our family and friends a good time and throw ourselves a good party- We have decided to hold the festivities in Riggins, Idaho ( a favorite location for a weekend bash).  We have reserved The Lodge at Riggins Hot Springs javascript:nicTemp();for our wedding party and we will hold the ceremony there as well.

    to the Lodge

Traveling north on Hwy. 95, turn right on the Big Salmon River Road (before you get into Riggins) crossing the Little Salmon River. Go past the rodeo grounds and continue upriver 9 miles, being cautious of the upcoming traffic. Turn right over the suspension bridge to The Lodge.

The bridge is narrow (8 feet)- very large trucks and trailers will not go......

  • Camping

Camping is another option. There is a very nice campsite, Spring Bar about 1/4 of a mile from the Lodge that has facilities and picnic tables, BBQs etc. The fee is 10.00$ a night and they do not take reservations. There is also a free camping spot within walking distance from the Lodge right on the river with a beach (it is on the right side of the road, just past the bridge). Both of these spots will be great for camp trailers and tent trailers. If you would like to tent camp from your car you are welcome to camp on the Lodge grounds. There is plenty o'shade and the pool house has 2 bathrooms, 2 showers and a sauna (not to mention the pool). All campers are welcome to use the facilities!
We just want you each to be comfortable and happy wherever you are. We also don't want anyone drinking at the Lodge and attempting to drive back to town. It's a tricky road under the best circumstances. Let us know how we can help.Â
